We apologize for the belated New Years Wishes on behalf of Bay Realty. We have been busy trying to come up with a 2012 strategy to increase our business. Last year, we did not reach as many customers as we intended, but this year we are aiming to grow full force. We have plans to acquire more agents and reach a bigger audience through more intense online marketing. With that in mind, let’s talk about reasons why it’s still a good idea to hire a real estate agent in today’s day and age.
It’s true that with just a quick Google search we can find out a lot about anything, especially real estate related: we can find homes for sale, agents that specialize in every niche imaginable, read about the ins and outs of real estate transactions, and so much more. With so much information available at our fingertip it’s easy to think that hiring a real estate agent is superfluous. However, here are some things to consider. A real estate professional knows a lot about the nuances of the market, they owe you a fiduaciary duty to do their best and to help you negotiate the best terms for you as you’ve instructed to do so. In fact, they have incentive to do their best for you and keep you satisfied as they don’t get paid until the transaction closes.
Additionally, the information available online is not necessarily the latest. In fact, some of the houses listed for sale online are no longer available or are pending-this is information which real estate agents easily have access to, which they can pass on to you. Just food for thought. So if you are house hunting and want to get the latest info on a house you’re interested in let us help know. Give Bay Realty a call @619-721-3377, we promise we are friendly!
